Granulation Collection

Granulation is one of the oldest techniques in jewellery craft. Granules of precious metal silver or gold,
are made individually and later will be fused, soldered on top of a separate piece or combined together into different shapes or designs.

Silver granulation star earrings

Sculptural, pleasant to hold and wear star shaped silver earrings on posts. Granulation is an ancient technique
when each round bead was made and afterwards fused or soldered into different shapes, motives or figurines.
Please note that it is unlikely to achieve an absolutely identical pair of earrings therefore there will be a
slight variation which does not detract an overall impression rather giving them some charm.

Carnelian necklace with silver clasp

Because the clasp is made by the painstaking technique of granulation,
where small round pieces of silver are soldered into an interconnected star shaped clasp. The necklace was lovingly knotted through its length. Really a labour of love.

Lapis lazuli necklace

Wonderful matt triangular shaped beads of lapis lazuli. I took a liberty after being inspired by a Victorian theme of a combination of star and crescent, when I made this clasp in the granulation technique. Granulation is an ancient technique when each round bead was made and afterwards fused or soldered into different shapes, motives or figurines. This necklace was lovingly connoted through all its length. Really labour of love.

Ruby Necklace

I feel always embarrassed when it comes to discussing the colour of ruby. There are so many
poetical allusions referring to ruby such as the colour of the lips of the beauty, manifestations
of ardent passion or rather boring Kremlin stars. Madagascan rough rubies have none of this
high drama, they possess this settled charm of varying shades from soft dusky pink to
well boiled plum preserve. There is something so dignified in this ruby necklace that it will
never look out of place regardless of whether it is worn for a special occasion or just for fun.

Amazonite necklace

Wonderful blue teal colour reminiscent of blue skies and the sea on summer vacations makes this amazonite bead necklace so delightfully cheerful. Amazonite beads were knotted, and joined with a handmade 9ct gold clasp. Beads are not uniform in shape or surface, which provides them with more charm and individuality allowing this necklace to stand out proudly. Because of this striking colour it would always look stunning in grey wintry days or shine brightly on summer outings.
